Hololens - Clickable powerui in existing app

I have a unity application targeting Hololens. The main scene already has a cursor and listens for click events for tasks such as capturing images for processing. I am building a popup UI using PowerUI so for example, the user clicks to scan a barcode, and then a PowerUI worldspace object is generated based on the decoded barcode info. Is it possible to make PowerUI clickable in this case and would a camera pointer interfere with standard unity onclick events for non powerui objects?
